“So can you hear me? (WHOA OHHHH)
Can you get hip to what I’m saying? (OH OHHH)
These fashion zombies (WHOA OHHH) don’t walk this world alone!”
AQUABATS, FUCK YEAH! …Actually, I’m not that into them, I just find some of their songs catchy as hell. Trojan and Bug Prince would suck them off though.
So yes, I’m very sorry for the delay in releases. You see, we were SUPPOSED to release the first chapter of the wonderful Korean Illustration artbook a few days after the Sweet Body post…but clearly that didn’t happen. I’ll be honest; it was more or less all my fault. I know funny didn’t get to scanning until…a few days ago, but I was supposed to be around to spearhead the whole thing. I wasn’t; a bunch of us went to a Ne-Yo concert. Then there were midterms. Then there was this party that ed and piss o baal were having a show at, featuring YOURS TRULY as guest vocalist. Then another bunch of us chillaxed, checking out the local art scene. During all this, Lavie Rhap was being studious, honey left for a week to the Orient, and funny tried remixing video game music. Well, now we’re all together again and working like busy bees, blasting you with TWO chapters. PS: funny gave up the remixing.
Moving on, Korean Illustration, FUCK YEAH! Unlike Happoubi Jin’s Sweet Body, there’s major support from the Reich, as you might notice from the amount of people contributing on those credit pages. What we have here is a collection of Korean artists showcasing their work, published in Japanese. Probably to feed those with a Hangukin fetish. Whatever, it’s all good. Some of them we’re familiar with, like the hotshot Hyung-Tae Kim or esoteric Panamaman…others, not so much. But it rocks. There’s only one artist the Reich almost uniformly dislikes; one of out fifteen isn’t that bad!
Now, business time. If you downloaded the release…you may have noticed what we’ve done. If you’re reading this like a courteous character…bravo! I’ll tell you what we’ve done. We’ve scanned…piss o baal, drumroll, please. Thanks. Ahem, we’ve scanned at 600 dpi. Sweet chocolate covered cocks! What is this audacity? Did we not say we’d only scan at 300 dpi on account of our laziness?! Yes. We did say that. And guess what?
“finally, someone to pick up where i left off. keep up the good fight”. Says jay of burnt-fish fame. Jay, on behalf of several Rabbits of the Reich, I say this: damn you. Your words of encouragement have gotten to funny’s head and like that, he’s insisting that we now scan at 600 dpi. Oh granted, all those other comments from the lovelies telling us to take our time with higher quality scans did something as well…but jay, your comment tipped the scales. funny’s scanner is located in the most inconvenient position, scanning-wise. It takes 2-3 minutes to scan a page. That means 2-3 minutes of holding down a page, unable to move, in an inconvenient position. We move the slightest, we have to rescan. Motherfucker. jay, I have no idea how you did it for so many artbooks and you are only one person. We’re forced to scan in shifts. Props, yo. Props.
There you go. We’re scanning at 600 dpi. That means releases will take longer. We wanted to push out two chapters a pop…but given the change of circumstances, it’ll probably be one. Sorry for going back to the Republic style of releasing. Course, this only applies to Korean Illustration; Sweet Body has merely three chapters, with numero uno being a monster. Fun times.
And again, the Reich speaks out to YOU, dear reader! If you may recall, it was noted that funny_bunny, the elfin Fuehrer of The Rabbit Reich, has no sense of monetary value. That’s incorrect; he’s fully capable of realizing that he’s going broke. Which he is. Yes, yes, we’re all well-fed and warm in our homes with high-speed internet but the point is that funny can’t really afford to keep buying artbooks, what with his vast whimsies. This is where you can help us. No, we’re not putting a Paypal thing up. Some of us wanted to but the Ministry felt we were too new of a group to do those sort of deals. Maybe later when we get regular visitors up this in biznatch. No, what we’re suggesting is this: [LINK GONE]. Pyramid scheme or not, we really don’t care. We’re not trying to get rich or even augment income with this. All we’re trying to do is make some sort of artbook fund, which we will use to buy an artbook that the community all desires. This doesn’t necessarily mean we can scan it; it might have hard binding and whatnot. But this is a fund specifically for the Reich and thusly, for all of you. So please, refer to us and click a bit. At the rate we’re going, as of this date…it’ll likely be half a year before we scrounge up enough. A bit funny, because by then at least ten of us will be able to buy something.
Oh, you may have noticed that we haven’t passworded this release. Hoho, we just wanted to screw with you last time. Remember kids, picture porn can only serve you so far. honey, come, hasten with the technicals!
