ATENCIÓN: What’s a Revolution Without Revelry?

prettyprophet: I like to think of us as a very uncomplicated group………made completely complicated out of unnecessary factors. So here’s a primer for all you kids new to the scene:

In November 2007, funny_bunny, honey_bunny, and holstein started up a group called the Rabbit Republic to do Range Murata’s “Robot”, volume 1. So that’s one anniversary. Then in February 2008, Funny launches the Rabbit Reich for artbooks. Then sometime that year, the Club Cowslip is made to house randy raws. Ok, whatever, we didn’t have any translators but we worked together with Illuminati-Manga on manhua, so we kinda entered scanlation of actually comics around August 2008. December 2008……ak comes along and just starts translating out of the blue. By February 2009, Cowslip kicked back into gear with a hentai release, a bunch of doujinshi (including Persona), and two artbooks were scanlated.

…….point is, on terms of anniversaries, we got a lot of big dates. But Lunar New Year? Heh, you don’t get more apt than that. So that’s why we consider ourselves only active for ONE year….despite being around for two.

In this one year, a lot of things changed. We started series like Acony……finished series like Sadomi. We had Aya Takano, Usamaru Furuya, Hiroaki Samura, and Naito Yamada. Joints with Illuminati, Delinquent, Harroku, Brolen, and Euphoria. Persona 4 doujinshi…..and a fuckload others. First to do a P4 shounen ai, Valkyria Chronicles…..actually that’s probably it for doujinshi “firsts”. And obviously there’s been OKAMA.

A lot of Rabbits left. And by left, I mean, “ran away whenever Funny asked for cleaning help”. Honestly, it didn’t matter, because going up to……say, Whopper and being all, “Clean this for tomorrow”…..chances are it wouldn’t be done. However, we got three cleaners that joined and stayed……and that’s Mokona, sinergistic, and Fallen. Good on ya. Then there’s our other translator, Ghost, who doesn’t exist in the official memo.

We moved from WordPress to here. In theory, we would’ve launched the site today. In practice, Funny rushed it out in January. Kinda eased the transition, I guess.

So here we are in 2010, no less the ramshackle group we were before. The new Villa still ain’t launched, we’re still scrambling releases at the last second, and we’re still at each other’s throats over bullshit reasons like what day it is.

prettyprophet: That’d sound filthy coming from anyone else.

funny_bunny: nde, is today MOONCAKE Day?

prettyprophet: Total fucking veto on that.

nde: I just think it should be the official cake. Even though mooncake is in autumn.

Lavie Rhap: Can mooncake be considered cake? Its filling makes up the majority of it.

funny_bunny: PIE??

prettyprophet: Oh, says the cunts who are on the side of CHEESECAKE WHICH AIN’T A CAKE.

Lavie Rhap: Wouldn’t all these new factions mean cheesecake has the majority?
